    New QB stock

So I finally received my Micro-fit stock that I ordered last winter, the over all quality is pretty good only small tool marks and no holes or voids. Took some time carving the grip to fit my hand, many hours of sanding and we were ready for finishing. So far I've applied one coat of sealer and two of finish, I figure two or three more should do it. I'll take some more pictures once everything is together.New QB stock 4.jpgNew QB stock 6.jpg

Quite happy with the way it's looking so far, hope to have it ready for Sunday. I new ahead of time that it would take some time (bit longer than I thought) I was told the target stocks and the fact it's a lefty would require more time.
It's the Tac-Driver Silhouette in Tigerwood, finish will be five coats of a polymerized linseed oil-varnish blend from Lee Valley.

Very nice! Wow it took some time... what is the normal wait? I would like one... But if it takes that long wow!!!!

You might want to look at the tried and true varnish finish! It has pine pitch/resin in it to make a more durable finish.

This is a table I built.. the top is cherry and the finish is tried and true varnish finish https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-L...604/Table1.jpg

Bruce, I think we are both using the same finish. I understood my stock would take 2 or 3 months but once you've placed an order it's hard to get further information as they don't answer emails or messages. Oh well I have it now.

Hmmm makes me not want to order from them if that is the case...

    You have a nice project!
