Lauchlin is refering to the Crosman 160. It is the gun the Qb 78 was copied from. You would have to find one used as they were discontinued quite a number of years ago.
They (QB78, AR 2078, Crosman 160) are all virtually identical, so no difference to convert to HPA.... The QB79 is easier because you can screw a regulated tank right onto it with no other changes....
