Thanks for doing all the math for me! I would have ended up with some rough numbers and some guess work, which I have found out the hard way (more than once) means a lot more work in the end. It reminds me to slow down and think things through. I have routered the channel for the gas tube in the stock. I ended up buying a 1" half round bit for $5 off eBay. Originally I was going to do this project based on a 2240 platform so I ende d up doing a custom grind on the carbide bit. Worked out better than expected. I will. post some more pictures as things get along. I am very happy with the choice of using the qb 78 instead of the 2240, once I put the 2240 back together I can get back to enjoying it again!
