I found some CO2 tanks in my garage.

These are form a old "SoadStream" machine I had. It made carbonated water/pop form water.

    Anyhoo...

They say Carbon Dioxide 250G E290 on them.

They are just over a foot long and 2 inches wide.

Here are some shots of them. I was wondering if they could be used on a CO2 rifle (like a QB78) if I could find some sort of adapter for the thread on them.

I tried to get some shots of the threads/connector...if measurements of better pictures are needed to answer my question, please ask.

The brass end says "T/W 0.89 KG G/W 1.19 KG

Is this Tear weight (weight of bottle) and full weight?? 1.19 KG

The fitting looks like a standard CO2 (paintball) connector.... The CO2 content would be 0.3 kg (the difference) which is 10.5 oz.... Getting somebody to fill them might be the trick....

Why would it be hard to find someone to fill?

I could be wrong, but aren't CO2 tanks dated?.... Do yours have a DOT stamp showing the working pressure?.... All I can suggest is take one to CT and see if they will fill it....

Co2 tanks are dated- so they could be expired. Anyone who can fill paintball tanks I think can likely fill these- if they decide they want to. How did you fill them when using them for making soda?
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

I only had them filled once and it was at my local crappy tire.

The kids had no idea what they were doing and did not even charge me as they were not sure if they filled them all the way or not.

I will have a look for a expiry date tonight.

Is it as simple as getting an adapter block for a QB78 to use these?

It looks like they would screw right onto a QB79.... providng they are UNDER 2.000" OD....

They are under 2 inches OD.

IF they did screw right on...would I not need some kind of adapter to at least depress the "nipple" on the tank and let the CO2 out?

The tank block on a QB79 has a "bump" in the center to depress the pin valve on a CO2 tank or regulator..... It opens when the tank is screwed on....
