Is a NP upgrade avaible for the Remington Vantage 500? (general springer questions)

I am interested as I have a "springer" now (super cheap one) and it is violent when the spring comes forward. Makes it real hard to shoot.

I hear Nitro Pistons make spring guns MUCH smoother.

I would like to pick up a Remington Vantage 500 due to the awesome price at scopes and ammmo, however, due to my experience with springers...I am not sure if I want a sprnger.

Are the more well made springers still as violent when they are fired? The round exits the barrel so slow in a airgun that the violent release of the spring seems to affect accuracy a lot.

NP is smoother shooting. Your springer can be smoothed out some with a bit of work. Look on U Tube for the Phantom tune and you will get an idea of what to do.

The Vantage is the same platform as the Quest/Phantom and so on, so there is a 'kit'

Keep in mind, however, if you install such a kit in a '500' model- it will become a "firearm" under the law. Buying the parts is not an issue, but if you make a "firearm" out of things, then you would have legal restrictions/obligations after that.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

    Nice.

If this model is tuned above 500 fps is just a PAL firearm correct? (not restricted)

    Just want to be sure.

Correct- it is a "long gun" i.e. "Non-Restricted".

    Thanks again.

    1 more question.

Can this particular rifle be converted to .22?

I guess another/better question would be...

Does this kit work on a Crosman Phantom 500 .22 caliber Air Rifle?

Yes, it will fit all rifles of the B18/B19 platform.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...
