    Second Childhood

Bought some caps for a cap gun and cut them up and found they fit in a 22 barrel . I was shooting them in the basement and the wife figured I was back to my childhood. They don't bang very loud but they do make a neat flash. Just something for the old kids on the forum to play with over the holidays. They were the plastic ones that are in a ring with 8 shots.

There was enough pressure from what sort of gun to set them off without an actual hammer strike?

Any idea how much gunk is remaining in the barrel from them?
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

I shot them with my Alecto on one pump and they fired when they hit the pellet trap. On two pumps the fired in the gun so I only did that once as I didn't want the barrel dirty.

Gunzlaw on the CAF says it fits .177 pellet guns pretty well, all of the Umarex rotary "pistols" and the Crosman 357
The post is in french but the pic pretty much tell everything you need to know.

Well, the bonus with using a Crosman 357 is that the 6" barrel tube that goes in the housing is cheap if it gums up and can't be cleaned out- $9.00

Think about it for a moment would you.
We are now about the age where the kids have moved out of the house (well some of us at least) and we have more free time and money than we did as kids and we can now afford the "toys" that we wished we had when we were kids.

My story is that I am a widower in my fifties, financially sound and missing my youth when I had a .22 cal rimfire rifle and a couple of airguns.
