Decided to use the ol fly cutter to open up th valve body
I was on my game today! Perfect 1/4'' countersink
Layout for milling slots in the new riser, milled then on the lathe
Valve all ported and new uhmwp seal in original valve stem, and the good ol toolpost grinder weightloss for the hammer
Had to see what it was going to look like
Tube cut and tank block secured in new holes 14mm back from end of tube

Entertaining you should mention this, as I thought my eyes needed checking looking down the inside of the one it came with. In paintball its called a flatline barrel...lol where it is curved to put a backspin on the ball to increase effective distance. I had already milled the port before I noticed so not sure if I can have it replaced now. On the positive side I may have me a long distance shooter!

Another day with the QB got me a RVA, and a more modded valve. It took me a few hours to remember I don't particularly like making this type of RVA only because it starts out simple and turns into hours of fine tuning for proper fit and function. I took a break and chewed away at the valve some more (notice its shorter now?). I drilled one of my holes 1mm off center through the riser block which caused things to bind in the bolt area when the screws were snugged, other than that minor mistake things are looking up.

wow nice RVA, I'm building a QB78 too with 4 different QB's and lots of parts from Eric at Scopes and Ammo He rocks.
I will be making a post about it too in a few days. I had the perfect base too start.
your RVA may give you problems with your stock depending on the stock your going too use.
I had to mod my stock for my RVA and mine is very small.

What trouble did you run into with your stock? The woodwork will be altered later as I get the mechanical setup first.

I'm no wood working by no menes, but had to cut grind for my RVA and my bolt since I'm cook on pull.

Haven't had to remove wood for the RVA's, but did today for the bottle. My days off I try to do as much as I can, but today My boy wanted me to come pick him up and take him to the public skating at the arena(he lives with his mother) so I advanced the project a lil more.

but I had to mod my stock since I'm using a thumb hole stock. thay fatter and wider.
