Anyone want to trade some washers and shims for an emt?..
For every mile of road, there's two miles of ditch
The Belleville washers are 5/16" ID x 5/8" OD x 0.032" thick.... They are used in all the Ninja regulators intended for 1000 psi and up, and there are also flat shims to fine tune them.... The regs with the coil spring are the "paintball" version.... They come at 850 psi and you can reduce that by removing flat shims (about 150 psi drop per thick shim).... The regs all share the same body, and you can convert the coil spring version to higher pressures by changing the spring for a Belleville stack.... The standard stack is )) () () () () (( .... Sometimes the end washers are thinner (0.022"), or there is only one on one end.... I have a chart giving approximate shimming for different pressures.... The shims go on the end nearest the air inlet (tank end) of the spring / belleville stack....

And the .022" option

Bob....
That's interesting info. My reg has the coil spring and I reduced the output from 2000 to 1500.

I hit my first "snag" during my project.... and I havent even started yet! I am a lil concerned about the tank washers and hoping Eric finds some before its time to air up. I have alot of work to do beforehand so that will help with the wait.

Never heard of a Ninja reg with a coil spring that wasn't 850 psi or less.... Interesting for sure....My reg has the coil spring and I reduced the output from 2000 to 1500.

My ninja's are all coil spring, but interestingly enough some of the LP regs on paintball markers themselves use belleville washer types to reduce the 850psi down to under 200 psi.

Regarding the flat hardened shims.
Does anyone have exact ID OD measurements?
Would 3/8 ID work?
Are there any potential problems with having 1/32" clearance on the ID?
I'm asking because 3/8 ID 5/8 OD arbor shims can be found by the reams in any thickness desired.
