I went for my 2nd Pacemaker-Defibrillator (ICD) check today, and in the 9 months since it was installed in my chest, it has done nothing but sit there and monitor a perfectly normal heart.... no pacing, no shocks, no unusual heart activity, nothing.... If this keeps up, it will be simple check-ups every 6 months and then a new battery in about 8 years.... The Doctors still haven't a clue why my heart stopped on Dec. 30 last year.... other than that it was an "electrical malfunction".... They put in the ICD as an insurance policy.... I feel 100%....
