Sidewheel for the new HFT rig

here are a few picture of the sidewheel I am making to put on the Hawke Varmint I will be using will my S400C for HFT. It is not complete just yet, still plan on playing around with it some more...

If all else fails it will make a pretty darn cool coaster

Dude- yer nutz, that must've taken quite a bit if time and effort! I'd be worried that if, heaven forbid, you dropped the scope/rifle that the aluminum sidewheel would incline the scope dial to break off, as opposed to the wheel cacking/breaking.

    Neat look either way.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

Forgive my ignorance, but why the large sidewheels?

Is it for finer tuning of focus, or does it make it easier to manipulate in certain FT shooting positions...etc?

    Thanks Eric,

Yeah I am sure that would happen, not really too worried it about it though, I make a pretty good point of trying not to drop expensive things

Since this is for HFT and will not have distance markings I could make it a friction fit with a small nylatron ring, so if that did happen it just pops off the scope...might try that on the next one for shiggles

It is for finer tuning of the focus wheel, the larger wheel also allows you to put larger more accurate distance markings on the sidewheel for rangefinding. Since this if going on a HFT gun, it is strictly for show and fine adjustment...smoke 'em if you got 'em I guess
