    Weihrauch 97K?

    Ok .... so help me.

My non-pal airgun collection is varied, numerous and low-end.

My preference is for a Weihrauch underlever.

I like the long barrel and fixed sights on the HW 77, with the option of artificially raising the comb for a scope (not the HW 77K)

The comb and stock on the 97K is really nice, but the 97KL looks fabulous. But then so does the 77KL and the 97KT.

I plan on plinking and possibly getting serious about FT. The scope will be the Bushnell Legend from Eric.

My PAL has finally been sent in. My concern was simply that with pal airguns, my kids could not inherit my airgun collection. Easy with the non- PAL Weihrauch.

The non-pal Weihrauch solves any problem by doing spring changes for the various events to upgrade/downgrade the fps. I am aware of the compression issues.

One of our members has all three and is moving me towards the 97K. This weekend I will go to PT Colborne to see some of the Weihrauchs competing.

So .... I would like your opinions and input.

Well no point in pusuing this til late fall or when the PAL comes in.

The only available de-tuned version is the HW97KT. Everything else is sold out at SSSO and D & L.

I'm guessing we don't have too many Weihrauch-owning members around here?
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

Well, my combined investment in Chinese springer rifles is about the same as I paid for one HW97K. I get 10x more fun from my Chinese springers, just saying. Still, I wouldn't give up my HW97K because it's fun too, just not the same fun. It's like the difference between formal dining, and buffet on the beach.
Proteus was going to Pt Cloburne FT match...How'd you make out there?

    Port Colborne was FABULOUS!

Didn't compete, just observed to get a better understanding of the protocols and mechanics of FT and hunter.

I really enjoyed talking and meeting the participants ....... and I got to see a lot of the rifles. All of the players I talked to were helpful and willingly showed off their collections. I even tried the HW97 and HW100. Glad I ordered the 97KT yesterday.

You are correct about the Chinese springers. I like them because they give you a taste of what is available for a fraction of the price. That QB18 is still one heck of a good deal.

    Hi

I realise this tread dates from July but I just got it as I was away from this forum for some time. I have the pleasure of owning several non pal weihrauch including a 97k (which I received 2 weeks ago from D and L. Yes they still had one in .22) So far I love the 97K. A bit heavy but with a rest, so precise and easy to shoot.
