fancy adjustable combs that slide over that condor tank
HUH?.... Must be something I haven't seen....

Having a separate lower block would interfere with the grip, so then you have to move it back, necessitating too long a LOP.... I haven't come up with a good solution yet....

For the RVA, instead of a separate cap on your design, why not just use a screw big enough for the hammer spring to pass through the threads?.... On my 22XX RVAs I use a 3/8-16NC (could use a -24NF) and the 5/16" hammer spring slides right out by just removing the adjusting screw.... I'll probably be changing over to a 7/16" to accomodate a larger hammer spring diam. on the Hayabusa....

Can anyone point me to this thread/these threads? Seems someone out in the world likes to "report" to Len when someone posts something not all positive and warm about him in a forum and I have received a complaint email. I am not going to get involved in another drama if such posts exist- but if they do not exist, in all fairness people should probably lay off Len. If they do exist, then it is what it is...

I think it was more based on the fact that Bob said Dennis "used the wrong spring.." not that he fiddled with the hammer spring...I agree with no more drama, and bringing up things like that is not the way help anything IMO

I was just quickly looking at some harmonics Bob and I'm feeling at this point that at 1000fps/90 fpe this barrel is going to be unstable.

I'm ordering a piece of 7/8" OD .510 ID CrMoly tube to acraglass the liner into as if it were being used as a liner. The big boys are now using carbon fiber but thats a little problematic to get.
Do you want me to order you a tube as well?

I have a quote request in for Cfiber but I know it's going to be spendy

I stand corrected on the carbon fiber
.625ODx.500ID from one supplier is $25 for 30"
    From another it is $130

I can't say I understand the pricing difference other than the spendy one is in Canada and the reasonable one is in US

HI Sean.... The 5/8" OD Carbon tube for $25 sounds like a winner, count me in....

Eric.... I apologize for my teasing about Len.... However, when people make quotes, they should quote the entire verbage.... "IMO, Dennis may have used the wrong hammer spring in my gun".... Reading only what you want to read, and then continuing to argue about it in the face of continued explanations can only be for the purpose of causing and/or continuing an argument.... What's the point?....

    Done deal
Two pieces of twill laid carbon fiber tube on their way

This will quell the chaotic vibrations and still allow the harmonic to be tuned

    Back on Topic....

When you consider how important hammer spring tuning (and changing out) will be on this (and any) new gun.... I'm going to shelve the idea of the dual tanker.... at least until some brainstorm hits.... The multiple problems of ergonomics (sight line and length of pull) are just too conflicting with the basics of gun operation and tuning.... FORTUNATELY, I can use my existing Hayabusa as a platform.... I will need a new barrel and breech, tank block and directly mounted tank (no regulator), main tube, valve, hammer, spring, and RVA.... Geez, I think the list of what I CAN use over will be shorter.... *LOL*....
