    I want to build a .25 caliber 2240 pistol

Hi Everyone. For my first modded gun, I want to build a 2240 pistol into a .25 caliber one. I want it to run on a CO2 powerlet (for now), great accuracy and to be the maximum hard hitting. As you all know, I am a relative newbie, have learned a lot on the forums and advice from Eric and others. Of course, I know I will need a longer barrel, breech and bolt, etc. What I am looking for, is, what all parts do I require to build such a gun, and where can I get them (really prefer to buy Canadian), I know there are US suppliers. Any helps, hints, suggestions and how-to's would be really appreciated here. Thanks in advance. Looking for something similar in the pic (but more 'bling').

Check with Eric he can get you started on the parts.
My guess is you are going to be well under 500 fps even with a 14 inch barrel.
The bolt may be hard to find.

That should be a piece of cake

Everything except the bolt should be available from Eric at www.scopesandammo.com

    You'll need a steel breach
    RVA likely
barrel either a Marauder or a LW (the LW could yield 2x 12")

If you have problems finding a bolt just pm me

The only 'small' .25 caliber barrel available (one on the shelf) is the Marauder unit- it is 20".

Bolt to fit a 22xx breech- would need to be fabricated, barrel would need to be machined down to fit the breech.

The problem with such a project is the fabrication- you need to have some machining skills, or know someone who does to get the barrel re-worked and a bolt made to be able to fit up to the 22xx frame/breech.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

$52.00- but it is thicker than the standard 13xx/22xx barrels- they are 7/16" OD, the Marauder unit is (and this is off the top of my head) 1/2" or thereabouts.

You know..... If somebody were to put together "bolt on" .25 cal kits I'm sure they would sell quite well, especially in the US ;)

Actually, Mountain Air in the states sells such a kit. But, I am Canadian and prefer to deal in Canada.

It's an idea- perhaps I'll see if a fabricator can make .25 cal bolts that will attach to the Crosman handle and breech to make such a thing simpler. Of course- unless you really pump up that 22xx (HPA would seem the most likely candidate to do this with)- it's going to get tough to push "big numbers" through it.
