I don"t think you would be very comfortable shooting the right handed target stock with your left hand. There is a very deep relief for the heel of your hand and it comes to a sharp edge on the left side.

And to be honest I'm not sure if there is a left handed version. The picture atscopes and ammo is a left handed stock...but I have never actually seen one.

I have only ever fondled one but I''m certain they are ambidextrous.

I do use the adjustable butt plate off the 2079 on my 2078....very nice piece of gear

edit: apologies I meant the 2078 LE adjustable buttplate

I have the 2078LE with thumbhole stock. It's very nice - but I can only shoot right handed. And although I did try with the peep sights... just can't see the target with my poor eyesight... so I had to scope it. I added a chunk of brass to replace the front globe sight...

Yes, it is pretty good. Right now it`s stock and shooting about quater size groups at 10 yards rested. I get an occasional flyer left about 1`` from the group - no idea what causes it, but perhaps its the leade needs polishing. I`m shooting JSB Jumbo RS which are very soft, ad I think the `probe`may be deforming the skirts on the tighter pellets. I feel a bit of stiction on some. Anyhow, the rifle shoots really nice and I believe with a bit of work it will be excellent. The wood is very nice on mine, butt plate nice, metal finish... average. Trigger adequate, needs a polish... all standard for a QB78éAR2078. Actually from what I read mine is doing pretty good. I made an oversize bolt handle for it, but am waiting for an opportune time to tear into it and start polishing and replacing seals. I want to chrony it first too

With a little bit of work the 2078 can be really very nice

    simple things like.....
    crown
    deburr the leade
    polish and adjust the trigger
