    The Supervisor

    That's the name given to this Blue Grouse that has adopted a local sawmill as his home....



    He was injured last fall and had a limp.... The owner started giving him food to help him over the winter.... and now he thinks he owns the place.... I was out there today and he came right up to my ATV as the pic shows.... He chases you all over the place.... I love living in the country....

    You bet!.... During hunting season they're fair game.... although I wouldn't go after this guy.... even though he did peck the back of my hand and grabbed my pantleg....

    Healthy looking grouse, for sure. Stylin' eyebrows!

    Not used to seeing you...or parts of you...that close to a living grouse, though!
