    Accuracy or Power....?

Assuming same gun. 2 different tunes...... one is about 15 ft lbs and hit a fly every time at 10m (sub 1/2 groups at 50 yards, the odd 1/4" group) or you could get 18-20 ft/lbs and well it has more power but much harder to shoot and alot more hold sensative due to the much harsher recoil?

    What would you choose?

My Answer> I am thinking accuracy myself as it does not matter how much power you have, if you can't hit what you want you'll never be happy with the gun.

Bruce, that is the general consensus for target shooters. But if you can handle a magnum springer and you need it for hunting, you may go for the power.

Given your fairly narrow parameters, then accuracy is king.... If you are talking about taking a Coyote sized animal then 20 FPE is not enough, you need more like 50-100 FPE and then the accuracy is not quite as important as you have a larger target....

Given having ENOUGH power to do the job.... then accuracy is more important that a further increase in power.... but you need BOTH to be an ethical hunter....

I'm big on accuracy myself- probably because I am far from being a great shooter, so the easier the gun is to handle, the more likely I will hit what I am trying to hit, not the tree next to it...
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

I'm on the side of accuracy over power.

    Personally...it's the accuracy.

Being a "hobby shooter".....I'd like to hit what I'm aiming at.

To echo others, if I was to get into hunting,(messy pain in the arse), or PB's,(ridiculously expensive), power might be an issue.
But, for now, as long as she gets into the duct seal....I'm a happy little muppet.

I like the sub 500's, because I can shoot indoors, and practice and enjoy the fun part of shooting.

    If budget allows
Air Arms S410 - power adj. - accurate - Easy to shoot
Great for in the basement - power for gophers at 50 yards and you can take them with head shots.
Condor for futher out or bigger targets
Being able to fill the pcp's will add extra expences - but once you are set up for one
    You will be buying more
