    Shipping Grease

What does everyone use to clean out the nasty grease etc from the factory when tuning a springer?

I use alcohol and/or penetrating oil and alot of cotton cloth (and a narrow dowel for getting into tubes and such. I used Brake Cleaner on a tube years ago- stripped the bluing off it- so I have avoided it like nothing else since...
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...
