Any interest in Match (Lothar Walther) barrels for QB/AR?

Been talking with Lothar Walther about this- barrel would have the same exterior specifications as the regular AR207x barrel (meaning it would be missing the sight screw holes found on the regular QB, and have a front-sight divot on it as per a 2078 barrel.

That being said, they would be fully machined to directly replace a stock barrel- but the price is high; $300-ish dollars - so this may be a "no go" (barrels are not blued either). However, if enough people wanted a barrel (10 would be the 'magic' number) in a specific caliber, we could go ahead with it.

The other thing is if people want any of their "generic" airgun barrels, a pile could be thrown in with the same order (price would be around $130.00 I believe)- but these are completely unmachined. Apparently they are all 24" and choked.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

WOOHOO!.... about time somebody gets LW barrels into Canada.... Can't say I'm interested in the custom QB ones as I can do the machining myself.... but I'm betting the "generic" barrels will get a lot of interest once the word gets out.... I can see .25 cal x 12mm diameter (for 22XX/Disco) and x 15mm (for QBs) being popular as conversions....

    That is great news, Eric!

I don't own a QB/AR...yet...so those barrels are pretty much useless to me for the time being, but Bob hit the nail on the head - definately sign me up for a 12mm, .25 cal! Possibly a .22 cal, too.

Have REAL and immediate interest in the raw blanks. Would prefer to go 16mm on the od...easy to machine "down"...not as easy to machine "up".

    Any premium for polygonal?

OK someone explain to me the be all and end all of the LW barrel. And why has no one machined an alternative here for less $. Are they for FT only due to increased accuracy? Just asking...

Eric I would commit to either but I would be most interested in .177 (I'm probably alone here as the real hard core paper puncher) so I'm flexible.
Undoubtedly the bolt on would sell best in 22

but I'm willing to bet the blanks would fly of the shelf in every caliber once word got around that there was LW blanks in Canada

Sholo the be all and end all is the way they are made and what they are made from.

The rifling is mandrel drawn button rifling...this process work hardens the rifling

    tempered and hand straightened

    Every barrel is lapped

    And they are hand choked

This all adds up to outstanding accuracy and reduced pellet preference. As well the barrels will continue to perform for a lifetime and more because they are not made from Mild Steel

The application are as endless as there are things you can put a barrel on
