And just to state it up-front, it is nothing like the Chinese B3/B4 POS- it is a solid piece, but may have some teething problems (like a safety that got stuck, "on safe", that neither myself nor two Crosman reps could get unstuck without tools).

The MAV77, listed at 1100fps, only available in .177 (which means, as we can probably all estimate, using a proper 7.9gr pellet likely means around 850fps).

It was a bit stiff to cock- but I believe this will get better as it breaks-in. The stock is not one of Benjamin's finest- but it was lacking the usual checkering- so I am thinking it may have only been put on this unit so it wasn't just the action sitting on a rack.

ok benj did use bether stock than this one but the buesness end of the gun looks good may be a good subtitute to the hw 97 (may be not)

What you can't see in the pictures is the thickness of the loading door/gate- it is thick (as in a half-inch of steel around the barrel on all sides) and the gate is held open by a lock-lever on the side so no one can get a finger snapped off. But, it was not a very "light" rifle as a result.

For the loading door/gate that would have been a much better idea- maybe someday someone at Crosman will think of this...

One of the big entrys this shot show for sure, it's all over the US forums, and UK, here as well. It's a BAM B40 with tweaks, supposedly for retail March, at SRP of $350 (meaning $300 retail). The Crosword tweet said up to 915 fps... lemme see if I can find the link...

there ya go. (later that day Crosman tweeted the SRP at $350 - there was a lot of complaint at $530... could have been a transpose I guess, but $350 it is). The B40 is an old TX200 copy, BAM have replaced it? with a B41, and the MAV77 may be an upgraded or rebadged B41 from the miriad posts I have read on this in the past 2 days.... I would buy one at $300 - with a basic 3-9x32 Centrepoint scope BTW (like the Nitro Venom X series - I have one it's OK scope, definitely not like on the Benji Classic and Trail AW - those are nice scopes). I'm sorta not impressed, the long awaited Browning Leverage looks to me to be a better value gun, but just guessing (Leverage has 3-9x40 AO scope and weaver rail, and is listed at $225 or so, not yet available of course).
