    HDD for qb78d

Hi everyone. I would like to get a hammer debouncer device for my qb78d (HDD). I tried to get it from Archer airguns but it seems he won't sell to Canadians. Any help on this would be a great help. Thanks

I made a little U-shaped HDD like the one he sells for my QB78D, used it for some hundreds of shots. It seemed to work fairly well. Then j made an SSG and efficiency went up significantly, gave me more shots per fill. I'd recommend you consider an SSG instead. The adjustability is important so as to establish the right power level and valve dwell. Have a look at rsterne's numerous detailed posts on various forums to learn more about these marvels, which give airgunners much more refined control over hammer behaviour.

It's a bit trickier with the QB78D as the SSG must be entirely internal unless you also convert it to cocking on open. Here's a page where I describe mine along with various other modifications.

The SSG was designed for use with a PCP, not Co2- so I imagine the benefit to be seen would be somewhat diminished- but Bob can answer that more accurately.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

I found the SSG I made worked quite well on a 2240 running on cartridges.

Zeros are a read error on the chrony.

Yeah, not wanting to be obnoxious Eric, but the SSG is already fairly well proven with CO2 as well:

Where did I say "it won't work"?

I said the "benefit would be diminished" using Co2 instead of HPA- as in less of an improvement with Co2 as opposed to HPA.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...
