Diana Model 22 .177 (Made in Great Britain) Air rifle.

Anyone have info about this old springer? I 'm thinking about buying it from a friend.
What value, how old, how they shot etc? It is in good/very good condition, and still works good..
    Any info would be appreciated,
    Thanks,
    Eastman.

If it was made in England, it's "sorta" a Diana (trademark shifted around between 1945 and 1984)- it is actually a Milbro (Scotland) made rifle. That being said, parts for it are not likely available unless adequate substitutes can be found. There is no great value in them, but are reasonable shooters- so if it's cheap enough, no reason not to buy it.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

I will be looking at it again soon. I think it has a brass sleeve in the barrel, and it has a pic of a woman holding a gun aloft.

I'm sure it says 'Diana' on it- but this was basically a "theft" of the Diana name as part of WWII reparations, Diana, Meyer and Grammelspach did not reacquire the trademark until 1984. All the rifles built under the name "Diana" between 1946 and 1984 were made by Milbro.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...

That is interesting, Well I guess it is an old one then! Yes, it does say "Diana" and" Model 22, Made in Great Britain." And the pic of the huntress with a rifle aloft and a bow in the other hand. I will look for a date code next time I see it.
