    Hello from Vancouver, BC

    Hello,

My name is Brandon, I'm from Vancouver BC. I have had a Daisy 953 for a few years and have recently itching to see to see what I could replace it with. The Benjamin Discovery seems like a good candidate except for the loudness. While Googling, I found Bob's post(s) on reducing the transfer port on the Disco and that's how I found this forum.

    Cheers,
    Brandon

Welcome to the forum. We are not the most "active" forum around- but most people here are fairly expert in their knowledge.

As to noise, on an airgun this is more dictated by the power output- i.e. more air required for higher power, thus more noise. So, for example, two rifles of the same caliber shooting at the same power output should have near the same noise level, assuming one is not poorly laid out and blowing far more unused propellant than is required, creating noise and wasting gas unnecessarily.
I'd say I care- but I'd probably be lying...
