    JSB Heavy 10.34 Gr. .177

I was in Princess Auto on a work related matter, and came across this:

A little steep at 19.99, but I had to have it, just to get at the .177 Heavy for test purposes...

Very well made pellet. My first experience with a cylindrical pellet. Wonder about terminal ballistics with them. They must pile up in an interesting manner...

Lateral stringing at 12 meters from the 1701-P was sort of expected. 2600 PSI avg'd 424 fps. Weaver B-4. That L.W. bbl just won't shoot heavy for weight pellets. It doesn't like the Cr. ultra mags either, with similar lateral groups.

A lot better with the 24" bbl 13-77, with the 6-24X Banner aboard. Still not the one hole I get with the Ultra Mags, but decent... Ten pumps at 12 meters, 6X.

I have a new 24" .177 bbl to play with here, and if work co-operates, I'll get a report up on it. Plan is to mount it in the 1701-P...

Incidentally, there are no wad cutter pellets in that test tin~ just domes and points.

    Hi.
Did you notice if P.A. had these in .22 when you were there?

The only .22 I've seen P.A. carry is the low quality "Grizzly" from china. There are much better .22 pellets available else where...
