The New Phantom
Well, I remember reading on a US forum (probably GTA Benji/Crosman Gate) last year that Crosman had "cheaped" out the latest version of the Phantom. I don't believe this has affected the detuned versions for Canada. Anyhow, just read this post on the GTA:

It shows the new Phantom's have the plastic trigger blade, so the GTXII (and similar Gamo replacements) won't work in them.

I don't know how much of this is really "truth" or "conjecture" by some people on the web. The Phantoms were changed a number of months ago (August last year I believe) but the 'detuned' versions did not seem to change (the 'standard' Phantom had an 'A' added to its model number- i.e. "CS1K77A" instead of "CS1K77"). So far, I have not seen any differences on the detuned products, an I don't keep the non-detuned Phantoms in stock, so I can't pull one to look it over...
