Transfer Port Drilling
So I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with that 760. I do not at all like it as an airgun. The construction is way too "toy like." Aside from the screws, it has as little as 7 metal parts. That's too much plastic for me. So, I'm either going to try another mod or use the parts for other mods. The mod I'm thinking of is of course transfer port enlargement so....
1 - Drilling the breech transfer port hole to match the ID of the breech seal. Bad move? Works?
2 - Slightly enlarging the fill port transfer hole of the valve. Worse move? Works better?
I did not want to do any messing with the valve until I heard some words of wisdom from the Gurus of Airguns. (That's you guys. btw.)
Thanks.

You really do have the wrong platform for modification. Forget the transfer port hole- on a .177, the larger the hole the lower the velocity tends to go (volume vs. pressure- more volume doesn't mean more pressure- this only become relevant if your valve is retaining air after a shot).
Think about a 2240 or 1377/1322 for experimenting- easier (faster) to work on to re-arrange things, better construction overall.

Check. I'll leave the transfer ports alone. Most of the mods I see are on a 2240, 1377/22 as you suggest. I've decided to chop the thing for parts anyways.
Thanks
