Is there a HPA kit ofr the QB78d yet?

I have been away for a while and was wondering if there was a HPA kit for the QB78d available in Canada yet?

If not.....


Can I use a regulated tank (ninja or such) and run the remote line to the CO2 bulk fill end cap that is readily available everywhere?

You can certainly run tethered as described. Would suggest keeping the 1.8K rupture disc on the output side of the regulator and using a quality remote line.

How is that unit intended to seal to a QB78 valve? It appears to have an unsealed "nose" on the valve end. It also relies on the stock tube threading to retain whatever pressure is applied (based on this and the valve seal method, it seems apparent this should not be used for anything over 15-1700psi, even if valve modification are done to be able to go over 2000psi.

I do have a problem when none of this appears to be mentioned on the website selling such parts- someone comes along who is no expert, assumes they can put 2000 or 3000psi in the device (not an unreasonable expectation as they are labeled as HPA units) and something blows up in their face...

-this is not a knock on Gippeto for posting this, more a 'knock' on the party selling the units.

Looks like it comes with a seal, and the website tells you to measure from the valve to the end of the tube to insure the correct fit.... I'm guessing that there is no seal at the front end of the tube where the threaded collar is.... Moot point, as the stock QB poppet seal won't stand 3000 psi anyway, neither will the one in a 22XX, at least not for very long....

QB78d stock tube can hold ??? psi? (co2 max?)

Make sure the regulator has a 1.8K burst disc on the downstream side to prevent the gun ever seeing more than that.... That will limit you to about 1400 psi, higher than that you will likely blow the disc eventually.... A standard 850 psi output paintball tank is a good choice....

The stock valve will lock up at around 1.8k anyways.

Best bet is to feed it around 14-1500psi- the tube and valve can take it without any other modifications.
