Took some time to chase squirrels around a couple weeks ago( since my deer season is done ).
First real hunt with my Benjamin Discovery .177 and JSB heavys.
I shot the first three in the head, then made a lung shot on the fourth. He made it to a hole before he expired!! :( The next two were also head shots. Ranges were from 5 yards to 35 yards. :cheers:

Wish we had some of that green stuff here. Every thing is white.
Looks like it's going to get white around here as well.

Where are you hunting? The dark phase GBT looks like what's seen around the upper mid-east...
Nice shootin! I really have to try the Assiniboine valley this fall for GBT's, about the only place to find them around here.

Doc, i am hunting in S/W Ontario ( Tillsonburg are to be axact). What is a GBT ?? I usually see far more blacks than grays, but on this particular hunt i lucked out into more grays.

My understanding of squirrels is that the blacks and greys are so closely related that the only distinction is color. I've also heard that there may be some slight behavioral differences, but have seen nothing concretely proven.
