A couple issues- it relies on the scope to be supported, and if you drop the rifle it seems likely the device would be mangled. Kinda neat in concept, however. If it could be refined and attached to the breech (i.e. side loading) I think something along those line could be pretty cool.
And I have to say, now that this stupid bulletin board software is working- it is cool... !
