Getting started on turning this B3 into a type 81 look a like. Right now its just a bunch of parts that need to be fitted. Will have ak front handguards, ak pistol grip, ak mag catch, and a airsoft magazine. I have a muzzle brake as well that is not shown.

Slight progress. Lower handguard fits, upper is almost inletted, just need to trim the end. Still waiting on a handguard retainer. Barrel has been turned down so I could cut 1/2 28 threads on it.
Will need to bore out the sight so I can mount it further down the barrel.

This one is loosely copying a type 81, so its a mix of AKM and an original Chinese design. I am going to replace the lower handguard on my B3 AK copy as well, to give it a more AK look.Quote:

Ak furniture is available all over in the USA as surplus. Lots on ebay. Marstar should be able to supply them as well.Quote:
